June 18-21, 2015

It’s been a year since we visited Puerto Princesa and El nido so this year we planned to visit Coron and it is a first class municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines. So another 4 days and 3 nights trip again. We left Manila June 18 via Cebu Pacific arrived at Busuanga at 4PM then arrived at Coron town proper at 4:30.

  • Activity for day 1 is town tour, we climbed at Mt. Tapyas, I’m so bloody tired 700 steps up but the view up there is so beautiful. Around 5:30PM off to Maniquit Hotspring stayed there until 7:30PM. The place had a nice ambiance.
  • Activity for day 2 is Island Hopping: Kayangan Lake, Coral garden, Banol beach (Lunch), CYC Beach, Balinsasayaw Coral Garden, and last is Twin Lagoon.
  • Activity for day 3 is Island Hopping: Malcapuyan Island, Banana Island (Lunch), and Bulog Dos.

My favorite from this trip is Kayangan Lake, It’s probably the most popular tourist spot in Coron Island. Why not? Its limestone cliffs formation, crystal clear water is so superb (Look how water color changes in the photo the turquoise water color is the shallower part while the darker part are the deep one) and after walk up a mountain trail you’ll see a picture perfect scenery Om! Who would not love this place! Bucket List check! Visit Kayangan Lake & swim in the cleanest lake in the Philippines. Next is the Coral Gardens (Yes we’ve visited two coral garden!)

coronAnd the Bulog Dos I find it cool if we visited it on a low tide but sadly it’s still high tide when we came to the island, Anyway according to our tour guide when it’s on low tide you’ll see a sandbar across connecting islands.

coron-2We also visited a Souvenir Shop with cool items. Wherein I bought key chains, Ref. magnet (I started collecting ref. magnets of places I visited because every time I see this ref. magnets It reminds me of this wonderful places and who would not love that) and t-shirt.

And day 4 is the departure to manila via Philippines Airline at 9:30 am but because of delayed flights we depart from Busuanga around 11:30 am and arrived at Manila at around 12 pm. I can’t believe it that (4) days is over, Nooo I still want to try the shipwrecks visit Culion Island hmm maybe next time. Thank you papa for this another cool & epic vacation. What makes it epic? Since I don’t need to look up on my camera that it might get wet (Go Pro). Looking forward next summer destination.

♥ Sincerely, Mary Joy
